Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of Civil Services Examination 2019. Pradeep Singh, hailing from Sonipat district of Haryana topped the examination. In second place is Jatin Kishore of Delhi and in third place is Pratibha Verma of Sultanpur, UP. A total of 829 candidates have been selected. There are 304 candidates from General category, 78 EWS, 251 OBC, 129 SC and 67 ST categories. The test marks will be released after 15 days.

UPSC has placed 182 candidates in the reserve list. These include 91 General, 9 EWS, 71 OBC, 8 SC, 3 ST categories. There are 11 candidates whose results have been put on hold.

Pradeep Singh told the news agency Bhasha on the phone from Sonepat, "It is like a dream come true. It is a pleasant surprise. I always wanted to become an IAS officer. I would like to work for the weaker sections of the society. Singh, 29, a 2019 batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service, is currently under supervision at the National Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics Academy in Faridabad. He said that their emphasis will be on improving education and agriculture sector as they will become part of the Indian Administrative Service. Singh said, "I have chosen my home state Haryana as the state cadre for the IAS. I am happy that I will get an opportunity to work for my state. He took leave to prepare for the exam.
Jatin Kishore, who finished second in the UPSC examination, is a 2018 batch officer of the Indian Economic Service (IES) and currently holds the post of Assistant Director in the Ministry of Rural Development. He told the news agency Bhasha, "This was my second attempt for the Civil Services Examination. I am happy that I got second place. ' The 26-year-old teenager said that education and environment would be his main areas.
At the same time, Pratibha Verma, an Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer and third, said that she wanted to become an IAS officer since childhood. He said, "I am very impressed by the way IAS officers respond first in any crisis. They are always on the front in difficult situations. That is why I then decided to prepare for the exam (after being selected in the IRS). "Verma had secured 489th rank in the 2018 examination of UPSC. She said that she would like to work on women empowerment and children related subjects and especially in her home state Uttar Pradesh. Verma, a resident of Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, said that his parents played an important role in motivating him for civil service.

Let us tell you that a total of 2304 candidates were successful in UPSC main examination. The interview process for them started from 17 February 2020. But the interviews were postponed in March due to the Corona lockdown. The interviews were then held between 20 July and 30 July.
